Don’t dip your feet in. Jump in head first.

Of course the water will be cold at first.  A little unpleasant.

It always is.  It’s always seems scary.  Our instinct is to wait until it feels comfortable.

But so much time is wasted.

Because it’s nothing but fear holding you back.  You always adjust to the temperature once you jump in and swim around.  Waiting and thinking about it doesn’t change any of that.

So skip past the inner dialogue of whether you should or shouldn’t – just commit beforehand.

And dive in head first.

Decide after whether you want to keep swimming.  But don’t give up before you have given it a try.
