Out of Character

There are always other factors.  There is always something else in play.

And we all deserve the benefit of the doubt sometimes.

So you got into a confrontation with a co-worker. But the way they behaved was totally out of character.

And that’s where we need to leave it.  As out of character for them and extend the benefit of the doubt.

We all get sick.  We all deal with pain.  We all lose out of sleep.

And these things affect us.  They affect the way we handle stressful situations.  They affect the way we react.

And they can lead us to do things out of character.

It happens to all of us.

Try and keep this in mind the next time someone close to you does something out of character.  They might need that benefit of the doubt more than you think.
