We try and hide the fear.
But fear loves the cold, quiet darkness.
The more we try to suppress it – the more it starts to bubble over.
Don’t fight it, just show the fear the light. Bring it into the open.
When you are most afraid, walk towards it. Grab out a pen and piece of paper and write. Write troubles you the most. Write what brings the most fear.
The fear is much scarier in the darkness. It hovers and waits to strike in moments of weakness.
When we bring it to light though, we start to poke holes in the armor. We start to see the fear isn’t as rational as it seemed.
But we don’t know the holes are in the armor until we have the strength to walk towards the fear.
And bring the fear to light.
